Everest Update: team @mountainprofessionals and @r Everest Update: team @mountainprofessionals and @ryanwatersphoto completed their second rotation on Everest 💪 The team moved through the recently reopened Khumbu Icefall and made it safely to Camp 1 in cold, windy conditions. We continued the push through Camp 2 and reached approx. 7,300m at Camp 3, before descending back to Base Camp. We’re now resting at Base Camp, recovering properly and preparing for the next phase. A dial like no other – hand painted for a unique t A dial like no other – hand painted for a unique timepiece At HP Hercules, every unique piece begins with a vision. Today, we are pleased to share a special moment from our workshop. With the kind permission of our client, we are delighted to present a glimpse of a hand-painted dial created for a one-of-a-kind timepiece currently in the making. Each brushstroke reflects patience, precision and dedication. The painting of this dial alone required more than 20 hours of meticulous work to complete. The dial will now be forwarded to the next stage of its journey, where its indices and logo will be carefully added before it continues towards becoming a finished timepiece. Hand-painting a dial is a rare and demanding craft. It transforms the watch face into a miniature canvas where art meets horology, resulting in a piece that can never truly be replicated. The piece celebrates HP Hercules’ dedication to craftsmanship, timeless design, and the art of fine watchmaking. It was a pleasure to share our vision and passion with Anne and Letizia, and to showcase the boutique as a place where tradition meets innovation. Please find the English translation below: HERCULES WATCHES Adriaan Trampe discovered Saint-Prex by chance. The young Dutchman, who was working from his apartment in Lausanne, couldn’t resist the charm of the Old Town. He saw it as a perfect setting to develop his activity: creating luxury watches. On the Grand-Rue, he found exactly what he was looking for, and in 2025 he set up his office and an exhibition space for his models. A watchmaking enthusiast and a 2017 graduate of the Lausanne Business School, he revived the Hercules brand—which had been abandoned for more than 25 years—and expanded it internationally. But it is in Saint-Prex that he attracts his regular clientele and welcomes those who travel for major watchmaking events such as Watches and Wonders in Geneva. Indeed, the Saint-Prex setting is in perfect harmony with the symbolism of his brand: a story, a mountain spirit, and Swiss identity. WATCHES AND MOUNTAINEERING Hercules watches are inseparable from mountaineering. In 1953, the brand equipped alpinist Hermann Buhl and the members of his expedition during their ascent of Nanga Parbat (8,125 meters) in the Himalayas with one of its models. Hermann Buhl’s achievement became legendary. His watch withstood the extreme adventure without failing. In the 1970s, the quartz crisis created upheaval in the watchmaking world, and the company had to close its doors. Adriaan recreated the famous Hercules model with a more sophisticated precision mechanism. It made it to the summit of Everest on the wrist of American alpinist Ryan Waters.
